In the 21st Century, the world is changing fast. Therefore, the conventional education curriculum, which was developed in the early 20th Century, has to pave the way to a new kind of education and learning. In the book 21st Century Skills: Learning for Life in Our Times, the authors Bernie Trilling and Charles Fadel have premised that “the world has changed so fundamentally in the last few decades that the roles of learning and education in day-to-day living have also changed forever”. Holistic development essentially means intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development which can be achieved only through proper education. Therefore, education plays a fundamental role in holistic development. Co-curricular activities help in the holistic development of students and assist in developing critical skills and abilities to be successful and happy in 21st Century life and workplaces. Therefore, the importance of co-curricular activities is immense during school. For the holistic development of the students the School organised the co-curricular activities like Volleyball, Basketball, TT, Singing, Carrom, Chess, Badminton and Cricket Competition (Inter House Competition) for Boarder Students from 22 Dec 2021 to 30 Dec 2021.

Meditation Program for Teachers

Meditation is the journey inwards, a journey of self-discovery or, in fact, re-discovery. Meditation is time taken for quiet reflection and silence, away from the hustle and bustle of daily living. Taking time out enables us to come back to a centred place of being. In our modern world, the pace of life is growing ever faster and we are losing touch with our true inner peace and power. When we no longer feel grounded, we can experience ourselves pushed and pulled in many different directions. It is at this point that we start to experience stress and a feeling of being trapped. Gradually, over time, this feeling leads to illness and disease, as our mental, emotional and physical health is thrown out of balance.

For this, a spiritual program was conducted on 09th Oct 2021. School's OIC welcomed the dignified and spiritually rich team from Brahma Kumaris followed with offering of bouquet by Mr. Lalit Mohan Tiwari ( HOD Commerce). Then Sister Manju addressed the House and told the importance of inner peace. She gave wonderful examples of how to be calm and happy in all kind of situations. Raja Yoga was also an intend part of it. At the end, Dr. Naresh Kapri (HOD Social Science) and Mrs. Anita Pandey gave their word of thanks on behalf of whole staff members.
